A cost-effective introduction to STEM Racing

Designed for pupils aged 9-11, STEM Racing Primary is a classroom-based programme that introduces young learners to engineering, design and teamwork through the challenge of designing and racing their own paper cars.

No specialist equipment is required.

What's involved

Get started from just £40, including registration fee.
Teams create their own body shell - designing front/rear wings and side pods to add to the ready-made chassis
Using scissors or a cutter plotter, students cut their chosen shapes and glue them together
Produce a five-page Design & Engineering portfolio
Deliver a five-minute verbal presentation
Learn the basic principles of project management and how to use them
