Get the most out of your machines
The following upgrade options offer powerful enhancements to help you get the most from your investment. Each upgrade is designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing system, ensuring maximum reliability and results.
If you would like to discuss how these upgrades can help you get the best results from your Denford Routers, please contact the team.

Denford's 'Floating Head' option permits manufacture of PCBs and engraving of uneven surfaces, and is ideal for batch manufacture of PCB boards.
The floating head comes complete with a quick-change facility for a swift interchange with the standard issue router motor.
The cutting tool profiles around the outside of the tracks creating an isolation gap. The weight of the spindle motor plunges the cutter into the PCB board, and depth is set by a plastic disc that floats on the material surface. A float up to 5mm is possible using this technology.
This is standard equipment with the PCB Engraver, but is an optional extra on the Denford Router range.
For use with the following machines:
Please note: This must be used with extraction. We recommend the Dust Pro 50 or Dust Pro 100.
Denford's large capacity dust extraction system is the purpose-designed dust control system. It can be used as a standalone unit, or incorporated with Denford's machine bench, as shown above.
The unit is highly effective in removing airbourne dust and light particles produced during machining, and is recommended for schools where MDF is regularly used.
The unit comes ready to use, including a removable / reusable dust collection bag and a separate HEPA filter.
Dimensions: H530mm, W460mm, D670mm (H20.87in, W18.11in, D26.38)
For use with the following machines:

Particle and dust extraction unit, ideal for the extraction of airbourne dust created during the manufacturing process and to vacuum the machine after the cutting process is complete.
The unit comes complete with castors, flexible hose and fittings.
Dimensions: H530mm, W300mm, D300mm (H20.87in, W11.81in, D11.81in)
For use with the following machines:
MCR 100 (Recommended)
PCB Engraver (Recommended)

Perfect for holding woods, foams, plastics and metals. Restrictions would be on holding soft or flexible materials. Soft materials would be better double-sided down to a sacrificial board. Flexible sheet material would be best held on the vacuum bed.
140x345mm flat precision vice with low physical height offering a maximum clamping width of 222mm.
Supplied with mountings for Denford Router T-Slot tables and additional V-Type steel vice jaws for holding round work pieces.
For use with the following machines:
Versatile clamping system that is scalable to accommodate different work pieces (up to the size of the machine bed).
The additional clamping kit includes two parallel clamping rails with T-nuts (allowing the workpiece to be raised from the bed, to permit 'through' machining), one additional L bracket and lever clap T-nuts.
Suitable materials would be hard sheets or billets. Not suitable for soft or sheet material, using a sacrificial board and fixing the sheet down on top.
For use with the following machines:
The STEM Racing Car Manufacturing Fixture to enable the manufacture of all levels of cars, including the Professional Class. The fixture is also suitable for manufacturing TSA Dragster cars.
The fixture clamps directly to the T-Slot table.
For use with the following machines:
The large-format bed is for use with large sheet material that is non-porous and airtight.
The bed is supplied with an external vacuum pump and is suitable for 'blind' machining and 'through' machining when used with a sacrificial mat.
This will take up the entire bed of a Router 2600 (600x400mm) so will need to be removed if another fixture is to be fitted.
The Router 6600 can be ftted with the 1000x600mm option, but will take up the full bed. Alternatively, the 600x400mm option can be used, leaving room for other fixtures.
Requires single-phase, 16A supply protected by either a fuse or an MCB C Type.
For use with the following machines:
More versatile than the vacuum bed, but more restrictive in clamping areas. The areas where the vacuum pads are to be used must be flat and hold vacuum.
Pads are supplied with flat plates to fit the T-slot table for mounting the vacuum pads on.
The package includes 2 vacuum pads and an integral vacuum pump and is suitable for 'blind' machining only.
For use with the following machines:

Accurate scanning of objects placed on the machine bed of the Router range (not including the MCR 100).
The package incorporates user-friendly, wizard-based software for scanning, editing and saving 3D models, before manufacture.
Point cloud creation with selectable resolution and scanning area. Point cloud is exported as a .STL and requires the use of 3D design software to create a machinable part.
Also compatible with the 4th axis for full 360-degree scanning
Ideal for reverse engineering applications.
For use with the following machines:
True 3-dimensional model-making capabilities and seamless integration with VR CNC Milling software. Circular, spiral and linear machining strategies.
Also suitable for use in the STEM Racing Competition.
For use with the following machines:
VMC 1300 Pro (not flood coolant models).
